About Bexhill Harmony
Bexhill Harmony is a ladies choir singing a'capella (unacccompanied) in the barbershop style.
Bexhill Harmony was started by Astrid Amos in 1994. Astrid spent many happy years singing with the renowned Ladies Barbershop Chorus “Velvet Harmony” in Bromley, Kent. When she moved to Bexhill she missed Barbershop so much that she placed an ad in the local newspaper the “Bexhill Observer”. Eight ladies responded to the advertisement and the chorus grew from there. Some of those founding members are still with us today and that eight has grown to twenty. So now we rehearse in a sizeable church hall, not Astrid's front room!
